Swan Lake

To the music of Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky rearranged by Florence Caillon in a current musical score, five acrobat-dancers form an astonishing community of swans. Between amorous illusion and recognition of the other, Florence Caillon offers this mythical ballet a circus and contemporary version rich in great novelty of movement.
Solos, duos, trios, group movements, are alternately inspired by animal and human behavior and explore the links that unite living beings and found their relationships.
This lake, a metaphor for our land, tells of the fragility of life and reminds us of our interdependence with the living world as a whole.

Since its creation in 1877, this ballet, which today represents the archetype of academic ballet, has been developed and reinterpreted by many choreographers over time: it is somehow "augmented" by successive looks, and crosses centuries by the interpretations that have modified and enriched it.
