  • This is THE meeting place for science lovers and a large part of it takes place at the Montauban natural history museum.

    The Victor Brun museum and the Naturevolution association are joining forces to offer you a deforestation awareness workshop. Come and discuss, try to reconstruct the fresco of the forest and address the many causes and consequences of deforestation on a global scale.

    Fish like you've never seen them before!
    As part of the Fête de la science and the Explorer meetings, the Victor Brun museum welcomes Sébastien Brosse, teacher-researcher at the University of Toulouse III - Paul Sabatier, specialist in the ecology of freshwater fish. Through his research, you will discover the most surprising adaptations of poisons, and how studying the morphology of fish informs us about their lifestyles and allows us to better understand the ecology of the environment.

    Greenland, the whispers of the ice
    Screening of the film Greenland, the murmurs of the ice, recounting the expedition led in 2016 by the association Naturevolution in the Fjords of Greenland.
    Come and discover the incredible landscapes and surprising biodiversity of this place, which is now threatened by climate change. An exchange will take place with one of the members of the association following the screening.

    Drawing lessons at the museum
    The museum is joining forces with the Académie d'Ingres to offer you an introduction to drawing, using the many residents of the museum as a model. Particular attention will be paid to the anatomy of the animals.

    21st century: climate challenge
    A guided tour of the museum to discover the species particularly affected by the current climate change.

    Guided tour for adults and children from 12 years old.

    Please note that during the Fête de la Science (October 7 to 16) admission to the Museum will be free for all.
