Nourished by the Florentine Renaissance of the Quattrocento and the Viennese Secession, discovered at the age of twenty, Philippe Guenot currently describes himself as close to the post-impressionist and expressionist movements.

After having taken drama lessons at the Toulouse Conservatory, then a theatrical training at the Cours Florent, Philippe Guenot embarked on painting. Self-taught and a follower of eclecticism in terms of medium (oil, pastels, graphite…), he explores color, light, movement and never stops questioning himself and nourishing his thinking. Everything interests him, from murals to sculpture, including painting and drawing.

In love with his Occitanie region and its beautiful city of Montauban, Philippe Guenot gives us a dreamlike vision of his universe, where theater, literature, mythology, architecture, sculpture, nature, human beings intersect.

Philippe Guenot likes to reclaim everything that touches him and make it a way to communicate his sensitivity and his personal story.
