Nose to nose

The sense of smell... this sense with unsuspected powers, acts on our brain at the same time as it strikes our heart.
Eyes masked, at the heart of an immersive device, between fable, multi-sensory theater, scientific experiment and existential poem, Nez à nose offers you an intimate and intense journey to the land of smells.
With this creation, the poet and the scientist become the instigators of a new contemporary ritual which puts man face to face with his mystery in the midst of the clouds and vapors of his imagination.

This show was created in close collaboration with the CMO research team (Codage et Mémoire Olfactive) and thanks to the valuable complicity of Nathalie Buonviso and Alexandra Veyrac, both CNRS researchers.

ABOUT...
The show raises awareness of the power of smell and restores the image of this misunderstood sense of Man. Emotions are summoned by a scenario where the smell is challenged by sounds, music, lights, breaths, from various registers. And the scientist then reconsiders his knowledge and beliefs when he discovers the scope of the poetic influence of sensory stimulation and the imagination on the way of perceiving the world.
