Middle Ages between Tarn & Garonne, artefacts and panoramas

Cultural, Exhibition in Montauban
  • The territories that form the current department of Tarn-et-Garonne retain important witnesses of their rich medieval past, often overlooked.

  • Many prestigious objects, protected as Historic Monuments, illustrate the importance of orders from religious communities or wealthy lay people. Recent archaeological excavations have revealed more humble artefacts from everyday life, which will be presented for the first time. Finally, mural paintings, some recently unearthed, will take us into the intimacy of houses in the time of cathedrals.

    Visits by appointment for schoolchildren.
