The silence of the birds

The Kingdom of Millefeuilles has more trees than people, until one autumn morning, when tired of picking up the leaves, the inhabitants put down their rakes. Their decision was made: “There was nothing left to do but cut down the trees”. Delighted to find rest, they sat down in front of their television and never left their homes. But one day the TVs got scrambled. The whole village came out shouting. What's going on ?! The birds were back, perched, not on the dead trees, but on the television antennas.
