La fabrique de Jazz : "SATCHMOCRACY" Jérôme Etcheberry Octet

Cultural in Montauban
  • Designed in homage to Hugues Panassié, who made jazz a true art of living. The jazz factory seeks to rediscover the atmosphere of the Pan-Asian years by returning to the great standards dear to this enthusiast.

  • At the beginning of the 1920s Louis Armstrong revealed a new path to the world of jazz, he was at the time a powerful catalyst, like the architect of a musical universe in full transition.
50 years after his death, the trumpeter, arranger and conductor, Jérôme Etcheberry, resurrects the great Louis Armstrong known as "Pops" or "Satchmo", with "Satchmocracy". At the head of his octet, he takes us into the crazy evenings of the Chicago ballrooms of the Roaring Twenties!
