    The exhibition
The Museum of Resistance and Combatant presents for the very first time, unpublished original drawings made by foreign Jewish artists from the Group of Foreign Workers 302, during their internment in the Septfonds camp from 1941 to 1942.
Property of Mr. Jean-Marc Labarta, passionate about local history, these drawings accompanied by administrative documents that belonged to Captain Prévot, commander of GTE 302, shed new light on a little-known period, that of the internment of Jews. foreigners during World War II.
33 drawings and archival documents including the report book have been selected for this exhibition. They allow us to relate the daily life of the camp and the relationship that the internees had with Captain Prévot, all highlighted by an immersive exhibition. The latter will immerse the visitor in the universe of the camp where prison obligations and culture coexist, where artists like Walter Behr or Gert Heinrich Wollheim were able to swap their shovels and pickaxes for pencils and gouache.

Biography of the artist, scenographer, Stéphane Castet
Stéphane Castet was born in 1976 in Brive. He lives in Montauban, works in Toulouse and elsewhere. Graduated in 2002 from the Institut Supérieur des Arts de Toulouse with the congratulations of the jury, Stéphane Castet is an artist whose sense of the collective leads him to go beyond the threshold of personal creation to imagine with others and for others.
Since 2012, he has been a member of the IPN collective and an associate artist at TA Toulouse. At the same time, visual artist, scenographer, maker of works, "this genre scrambler" makes the artistic field his playground where only creation and its essence
    first take precedence.
He has collaborated with many institutions in the field of contemporary arts such as the Printemps de Septembre, Le Ciam, La Fabrique, Calvi on the rock, the Parvis, the Center d'Art Nomade, or, more recently, worked as a production manager. artistic of Memento (New Departmental Space of Contemporary Art).
He also designs the scenographies of the exhibitions of the museum of the poster in Toulouse. Invited to numerous contemporary art events and exhibitions (Bricodrama, Lectoure Center for Art and Photography, Tournecoupe typographic course) Stéphane Castet develops his artistic practice of DIY around a humorous reflection on our popular practices
    and contemporary.
For the exhibition "GTE 302: undesirable artists from the Septfonds camp 1941-1942", Stéphane Castet was touched by the living conditions of the internees, the few means available to these artists to express their art despite the constraints of the 'era. He wanted to pay tribute to them, by proposing a scenography that highlights their creations.
