From Paris to Montauban "Bourdelle, the memory of objects"

The Ingres Bourdelle Museum and the Antoine Bourdelle Museum are co-organizing a transversal exhibition putting the Montalban sculptor in the spotlight by establishing links between a selection of objects, furniture, sculptures, drawings, photographs and archives of the artist.

Entitled "Bourdelle the memory of objects", the major exhibition for this summer of 2023, produced with the exceptional support of the Parisian museum, transports us into the world of one of the most important French sculptors of his time.
Through a selection of 150 works and objects (photographs, sketches, outfits, tools, etc.). from his studio and his apartment, the exhibition highlights Bourdelle's daily life, his history, his artistic tastes, his work...
Housing the largest collection of works by Bourdelle in the region (70 sculptures and around a hundred graphic pieces), the Ingres Bourdelle museum offers a real discovery of the artist's secret sphere and his relationship to art and to others. , on the occasion of this exceptional exhibition.

The exhibition will initially be held at the Ingres Bourdelle Museum in
Montauban from July 8 to November 12, 2023 (opening July 7 at 6:30 p.m.), then at the Bourdelle Museum in Paris from April 3 to August 18, 2024.
