Cultural, Exhibition in Montauban

  • For more than 10 years, Marie Arnaud has been collecting, recovering, tearing, cutting a multitude of papers of all types, favoring the old, the old, those who already have a history, an experience.

  • As far back as she can remember, the collection started with posters of concerts, events ... those she went to: rock, punk, circus, street theater. There are also old newspapers, old tapestries gleaned from empty attics, flea markets and everywhere else ...

Marie Arnaud comes from the world of printing, an environment that she adored but in a position of computer graphics designer that did not suit her ... After a few years and various professional experiences, she had the chance to make her first exhibition in Montauban , in Marie and Stéphane's restaurant, “l'Étoile”. Montauban also provided her with a number of posters throughout the Rio, a venue she particularly liked.

When she starts a painting she has no idea where it will end up. She starts with an idea or graphic element that pleases her in what she's collected and then confronts it with the ton of papers she has.

Naturally associations are created, a universe or a direction emerges and little by little his picture is built.

Marie Arnaud, who lives and works in Rabastens in the Tarn, has exhibited since 2010 from Arcachon to Toulouse via Bordeaux, Albi, Nantes, Revel, Lyon ...
