Dream, an exhibition

From October 3 to 26, the Maison du Crieur hosts “Songe, an exhibition”, presenting the work carried out by the Sophie Carlin dance company.

At the Maison du Crieur, in Montauban, “Songe, an exhibition” presents the work carried out since 2023 by the Sophie Carlin Dance Company around the choreographic creation “Songe” and the music of the prestigious composer Henry Purcell (1659 – 1695 ). This exhibition is offered as part of the Passions baroques festival.

Suspending time, encouraging daydreaming, awakening all our senses, the “Songe” show invites you into a dreamlike universe, where dancers deliver snippets of dreams full of poetry.
To stage this enchantment imagined by the choreographer Sophie Carlin, significant work was carried out to create baroque costumes and exuberant headdresses with the costume designer Cara Ben Assayag, the visual artist-scenographer Myriam Dogbé, the lighting designer Fabien Leforgeais and the complicity creativity of middle and high school students from Tarn-et-Garonne.
Established in Tarn-et-Garonne since 2003, the Sophie Carlin Company questions the link between human beings and their environment. Its shows and its educational work in schools are anchored in the department and exported internationally.

The opening of the exhibition will take place on Saturday October 5, at 11:44 a.m., at the Maison du Crieur.
