Sports and leisure, initiation / discovery during an event in Montauban
  • Olympic and Paralympic Day 2024 in Montauban.

  • From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., numerous initiations and sports demonstrations will be offered to the general public throughout the Jacques-Chirac sports complex (martial arts hall, athletics track, Palais des Sports J. Chirac and Salle Multisports), among: Aikido Budo, Athletics, Rowing, Basketball, Breakdancing, Climbing, Football, Handball, Judo, Wrestling, Sambo, Karate, Tae kwon do, Table tennis, Tennis, Padel, Laser shooting, Rugby, Badminton, Canoeing and many more others still.

    The departmental sports committees and Montalban clubs are fully mobilized around this day dedicated to physical and sporting practice for all. A space for discovering Paralympic activities will also be offered by the departmental adapted sports and disabled sports committees, as well as a “Sport-Health” center.

    Olympic urban sports will also be highlighted with the organization of a 3x3 basketball tournament, coordinated by the Montauban Basket Club, as well as breakdance contests with Kids Are the Future. The Roseraie skatepark and pump track will be animated by skateboard and BMX initiations, demonstrations and competitions.

    Athletes will be able to participate in the Sunday “Sport au Féminin” session on the square in front of the Palais des Sports from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

    The public will be able to meet and interact with high-level athletes and coaches, some having experienced the joys of participating in an Olympic or Paralympic edition, but also take part in games and competitions. the main thing is to participate!

    This free event is the result of a collaboration between the City of Montauban, the Departmental Council of Tarn-et-Garonne, the Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee of Tarn-et-Garonne, the Prefecture of Tarn-et-Garonne and the department departmental for youth, commitment and sports of Tarn-et-Garonne.
