Come and try your hand at medieval calligraphy!

Text, its meaning and its transmission were essential to medieval monastic life, and manuscripts were objects as rare as they were precious. Using a reproduction of a medieval manuscript as a starting point, youngsters will discover the world of books and the techniques used to produce them. But before they start, choose an animal from the medieval bestiary and copy the text describing its virtues and faults.
