  • Workshop Dance-Experience with Wes Howard To live an intimate and intense dance experience with a real man of experience and knowledge: this is the purpose of this workshop. A day of discoveries, simple and profound approaches, stimulating the whole being, in the act of dancing. One day ... of great rejoicing! Wes Howard was born in the USA in 1942 and has lived in France since the sixties. Trained in classical dance, he is quickly influenced by Merce Cunningham. He is considered a pioneer of contemporary dance in France, and among those who have come and see eminent representatives of the Post Modern Dance (including Trisha Brown, Steve Paxton, David Gordon, Wendy Perron, John Cage. ..); he has initiated and accompanied in Europe a number of very different young dancers and choreographers (including Daniel Larrieu, Santiago Sempere, Michel Kéléménis, Tayeb Benamara, and many others!). After 60 years dedicated to Dance, he retired, and now teaches very rarely, on friendly invitation, as here (and soon to Murcia in Spain). So it's a chance to meet him in Montauban! - Sunday, April 7th from 10am to 5pm (lunch break from 1pm to 2pm) - at the Montalbanais Choreographic Center - financial contribution 60 or 50 euros (for non taxable) This workshop is exceptionally open to amateurs and beginners, as well as professional dancers and teachers. It will be preceded by a Dance Performance by Mehdi Mojahid, Saturday, April 6 at 18 hours (only on bookings). Information and registration on 05 63 63 65 20
