San Salvador the great madness

Concert at Montauban

  • Concert San Salvador is not a concert of music from distant islands ... Originally from Corrèze, San Salvador is a radical concert sung with six voices, two toms, twelve hands and a tambourine. Their creed: dust off traditional music by offering a lively and modern polyphony, songs in Occitan on rhythmic and poetic musical creations. The result is a confusing moment in a mix between tragic and joyful, a rare intensity at the crossroads of trance, a punk chorus and math-rock constructions; dancing and warm; hyper-rhythmic and panting. "(...) the singers harmoniously balance the percussion, the clapping of hands and the voices, used like instruments. Responding or confronting each other, they alternate whispers and rises, amplifying the volume dramatically.
