  • Saturday January 25th / 8:30 pm / duration 2:20 Adaptation of The Lady to the Camellias of Dumas Jr., La Traviata, absolute masterpiece of Giuseppe Verdi, is one of the most performed operas in the world. Timeless, this opera recounts this universal struggle between body and mind, between resignation to death and the aspiration to life. The courtesan Violetta has long enjoyed the fires of her beauty to escape misery, then decides one day - alas too late! - to believe in love. Directed by Olivier Desbordes presents a young woman who, in the evening of her life, reviews the events that led to her loss. On the canvas of a silent film in black and white, Violetta rewinds the course of its existence while continuing the ball masks, carnivalesques, pitiless social chess game of which she was the puppet. The energetic direction of Gaspard Brécourt restores all the vitality of a Verdian score that gives pride of place to great voices! Introductory meeting at work. >> Saturday, January 25 at 7:30 pm, Eurythmy Hall. La Traviata: an opera under the sign of audacity! Duration: 20 minutes.
