Theater, concerts, live entertainment… It’s all here! From September to June, the multi-disciplinary season at Montauban’s theaters, Théâtre Olympe de Gouges and Eurythmie, is designed to appeal to all audiences, whatever their cultural background. The offerings, carefully selected by the Cultural Development Department, combine contemporary and classical, music, drama, comedy, dance and circus arts… always with the aim of providing high-quality, accessible entertainment.

This year, the 2022-2023 season kicks off with the Jazz Factory, a tribute to Hugues Panassié, the great Montauban-based jazz critic and producer. For this 4th edition, the factory returns to the great standards, while opening the door to the younger generation.




At 3 rue d’Elie, right in the heart of Montauban, Le Violon Dingue is for lovers of boulevard theater and music. It’s a creative, friendly café-théâtre offering rhythmic comedies, jazz evenings, children’s shows, jam sessions and theater workshops… a place where you can also nibble on a gourmet plate of local produce.

Organized by the city of Montauban and OMEPS, the sports and leisure festival is a real highlight in the Montauban calendar, bringing together over 80 clubs and associations on the Cours Foucault on September 3 and 4. The aim is to give everyone the chance to discover and try out the wide range of sports and leisure activities on offer in Montauban. See you on September 3 and 4!

The Fête des Vendanges returns this year for its 18th edition, on Sunday September 4 at Domaine de Montels. The Romain family and friends welcome you to discover their passion for wine and the terroir. A true tradition, this festival highlights the many trades involved in wine-making, from nurseryman to bottler, cooper, distiller and glassblower. Come and take part in an old-fashioned grape harvest. You’ll be able to delve into the secrets of wine thanks to a number of workshops and tastings.

400 strokes

in September

From September 9, Montauban celebrates: the 400 Blows festival pays tribute to a major historical event in the city: the siege of the city by Louis XIII in 1621. For over 30 years, Montauban festivités and the town have been bringing this legend to life every year. On the program: bandas, traditional float parades, concerts, etc… Discover one of the biggest funfairs in the South-West at Cours Foucault.

European Days


in September

Save the weekend of September 17 and 18. Come and discover or rediscover the heritage of Greater Montauban. On the theme of sustainable heritage, the CIAP will be offering unusual events such as the “vide ciap”, where you can bargain for old books, postcards, exhibition notebooks and bookmarks. Visits to the newly renovated Place nationale will give you the opportunity to take a fresh look at this jewel of our heritage. And why not take a walking tour? This program is full of surprises!
